The Friends of the Marshfield Dog Park is a volunteer group working to create a dog park in our town. While we are lucky to have a number of public outdoor recreational areas in Marshfield we believe that having a specific park where off-leash dogs can exercise and socialize is beneficial to all of the members of our community, canine and human alike.

The greatest challenge has been finding a piece of land suitable for a park. While we are lucky to enjoy lots of outdoor spaces in Marshfield, much if it is marked for conservation or has other restrictions placed on it. After working closely with town administrators and private developers, we believe we are closer than ever to securing a plot and are aiming to have everything ready by the Spring Town Meeting.

Once the space is designated, the park will be designed and built using funds from the Marshfield Community Preservation Committee and a grant from the Stanton Foundation, a private fund dedicated to creating enclosed dog parks in Massachusetts. Once it is completed the maintenance will be covered by the funds you’re helping us raise today by coming to our event and making a donation.

Our fundraising efforts have been very successful and it proves how important this park is to our residents and visitors. Follow our page on Facebook for updates and keep your eyes peeled for our fliers around town!
